Do I need a copywriter?

Writing excellent content that promotes your business and increases sales can be hard – words don’t always come naturally to everyone.  And it takes time – which is a precious commodity when you are running a business.  A good copywriter can help you to produce content much more quickly and effectively, so you can concentrate on other aspects of the business.

Why should I hire you?

I’ll listen to your requirements and take on board your ideas. I’m efficient and will get your content done on time, and will provide great quality work.  I can take criticism (but I’m hoping that won’t be necessary!)
I’m old-fashioned (and slightly obsessive) when it comes to correct spelling and grammar, however I’m also forward-thinking in my approach to marketing your business.

My friends tell me I’m a nice person too – get in touch and we’ll have a friendly chat about your requirements!

Who do you work with?

I’ve worked with large companies, I’ve worked with one-man bands.  You can see some testimonials here.

My specialisms include education, finance, travel and tourism and the third-sector, however I can turn my hand to most things and am always happy to research any topic.

I tend to specialise in assisting smaller, start-up businesses to find their feet – you’ll find that my competitive pricing reflects this ethos.

So whether you’re Richard Branson or you’re just starting out on your own, don’t hesitate to get in touch to see how I can help.

Why can’t I find a list of prices?

Some of my services come with set prices whilst others will vary depending on your exact requirements.  I can send a rate card on request for my set services.

It’s always best to have a chat about your project so I can make sure that I’m giving you the best possible rates.

Drop me a line and I’ll be happy to discuss your needs.

Where are you based?

I am currently based in leafy Cheshire – I have good knowledge of the area and wealth of connections which my local clients can take advantage of, however that doesn’t mean that I am limited to working with those within a 30 mile radius.  I’m happy to work with clients wherever they are in the world.  The majority of my correspondence with you will be via email or we can set up a telephone or skype call if needs be.

Do we need to meet?

If you’re based in the local area and you’d like to meet to discuss your project then that’s certainly no problem at all.  Otherwise, just send me an email and we’ll take it from there.

Why the fox?

I had an amazing primary school teacher who  actively encouraged me to write, and my love of the English language blossomed from there.  She taught me the Pangram* ‘The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog’, a phrase which has just always stuck with me all this time so I’ve always associated foxes with my desire to write.

That and I’m basically a sucker for cute, furry animals.  I also like orange.  Simple as that.

Do you have a favourite word?

Oh I have lots!  Although it’s not officially English, I really like the Danish word hygge which has recently been adopted over here by many people (I think it’s even managed a place in the Oxford English Dictionary).
Hygge is a word that doesn’t really have a literal translation, it’s more of a concept but just imagine that warm, cosy feeling of being curled up in front of a roaring fire with a steaming mug of hot chocolate and wrapped in a toasty blanket.  Well that’s hygge, and my idea of bliss!
